Guidance on translation

The National Chlamydia Screening Programme is committed to providing information, advice and guidance to the public which is clear, accessible and easy to understand.

Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) who wish to translate NCSP materials need to ensure that the quality and integrity of the original documents are maintained. To assist PCTs in the process of translating NCSP materials we are able to facilitate the translation process using approved translation services.

For PCTs wishing to make use of this service please complete the translation request form and agree to the requirements outlined in the form.

Following receipt of a completed form, the request will be reviewed and, if approved, the NCSP will facilitate the translation of the documents on your behalf.

Please note that general information on NHS services and conditions including chlamydia is already available in a range of languages from NHS Choices.

Be proactive
The National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) is a control and prevention programme targeted at the highest risk group for chlamydia infection in England, young people under 25 who are sexually active.

Chlamydia is often asymptomatic so a large proportion of cases remain undiagnosed, but infection can be diagnosed easily (young people can do the test themselves), and treated effectively.
